Something for Everyone

I’ll Have What She’s Having Inaugural Benefit

On Sunday, April 8, 2018, over 500 Houstonians gathered at Evelyn’s Park in Bellaire for our inaugural flagship fund-raiser, Something for Everyone. The three-tiered event included Amuse Bouche cocktail party with small bites by up-and-coming chefs and bar stars, Al Fresco picnic dinner and Charitable Feast dinner and live auction, emcee’d by Carla Hall and featuring live music by Kristine Mills.

Texas has more uninsured women than any other state, including many women in the restaurant industry. With federal and state health care dollars declining, our local community health centers and academic institutions are battling for their ability to care for uninsured and under-insured women of Houston. Something for Everyone raised 160K, which was distributed to Legacy Community Health, Texas Children’s Hospital, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast and The Rose. These organizations serve as principle providers of affordable, high quality healthcare to uninsured people in our region, and we are proud to stand with them.
